Lib Dems in the Jailhouse

Mozaquir Ali and Manzur Hussain

Two Liberal Democrat councillors from Lancashire have been jailed for trying to rig a local election.

Manzur Hussain, 58, and Mozaquir Ali, 44, defrauded dozens of voters during the 2004 local government elections. The men, who were sitting on Burnley Council at the time, collected signed proxy vote forms door-to-door and filled them in themselves. At Preston Crown Court they were each sentenced to 18 months for falsifying postal proxy votes.

Lib Dem Sex

Councillor Bob Hargreaves arriving at Bradford Crown Court

A Bradford councillor gave cash to two young girls after sexually abusing them, a court heard.

Bob Hargreaves, 62, a Liberal Democrat councillor for the Bolton and Undercliffe ward, went on trial at Bradford Crown Court yesterday after denying charges of indecency with a child, indecent assault and attempted rape.

The jury was told the abuse took place in a butcher's shop in 1992 and ended when Hargreaves allegedly tried to rape one of the girls. Neither of the girls can be identified for legal reasons.

Prosecutor Sharon Beattie told the court the abuse had started when Hargreaves coerced one of the girls, who were both 11 years old at the time, to perform a sexual act on him.

Lib Dem Fraud

A Lib Dem COUNCILLOR is the subject of a standards investigation after she took a major role in granting cash which paid for her daughter to go on a trip to a theme park.

Coun Donna Caley, who represents the Bradley ward in Nelson, asked the Nelson Committee for £500 to fund a trip to Blackpool Pleasure Beach for a group of teenagers, including her daughter, according to a council report following an investigation.

This is the second time that Coun Caley has been called to face the standards committee in just four months. In July, she was accused of failing to tell a meeting that she had an interest in two planning applications near her home, then pressing for enforcement action to be taken.

A favourite trick of liberal-leftwing interviewers and politicians when losing an argument with BNP spokesmen is to start banging on about "BNP criminals."

Well, as Anne Winterton pointed out in The Sunday Times, this really isn't a very honest thing to do when not mentioning the fact that a very small number of BNP criminal records (mainly the result of political persecution, self-defence against leftist thugs and youthful stupidity now twenty years or more in the past) need to be put into the context of the far worse, more numerous and more recent crimes of many members of the old parties.

Here below is a far from complete list which readers will find useful as well as shocking. Future miscreants from the big three parties be warned, you'll be getting your very own posts on here.

Labour Criminals

Labour Councillor (Newton Aycliffe/Durham – In Tony Blair's Sedgefield constituency), Martyn Locklin – Convicted on 8 counts of rape and indecent assault on teenage boys in 2001, and jailed for 15 years (reduced to 12 on appeal). Locklin was a top local Party bigwig on first-name terms with Tony Blair, after escorting the PM during visits to his constituency on several occasions. The judge also put the Labour rapist on the sex offender’s register for life, telling him: “You will be watched for the rest of your days. You need to be”.

Labour Councillor (Westlands/Worcestershire), Keith Rogers – Convicted, fined, and placed on the sex offender’s register in 2003, after downloading over 2,000 hardcore child porn photos on his computer.

Labour Councillor (Dagenham/London), Terry Power – Forced to resign in 1999 after being arrested and charged with sex attacks on teenage boys. Details of trial and conviction to follow.

Labour Parliamentary candidate (Cheadle/Cheshire), Paul Diggert – Subject of a 2002 police investigation into the alleged procurement of underage girls for sexual purposes via internet chatrooms. According to the `Sunday Mirror` (3/11/02), Diggert had admitted to having four underage girls that he was `grooming` for sex. In 2004 Diggert was convicted of making and distributing indecent pictures of children.

Prominent Kent Labour Party activist Mark Tann (who has met Tony & Cherie at Party functions) – Convicted and jailed for 15 years in 2002 for sexually assaulting a girl of 9, and raping a 4-year old girl on 2 separate occasions. And no, that’s not a miss-print. She was FOUR YEARS OLD.

Labour Councillor and former Mayor (Redbridge/London), Muhammed Javed – found guilty of misconduct by a Standards Boards tribunal and suspended from the Labour party in 2005, following remarks made to a female Tory councillor during a break at a council meeting. The dashing, silver-tongued Labour cavalier had approached Councillor Kathy Pepperel and told her: “I must say Kathy, you look very nice tonight. Nice enough to make me want to rape you”.,3196,en.html

Labour Councillor (Hillingdon/London), Mohammed Khursheed – Stood trial in 2001 on charges of indecent assault and gross indecency with a 7 year-old girl, but was eventually cleared.

Labour Councillor (Gosport/Portsmouth), Neil Redrup - Arrested under the Sexual Offences Act in 2007 after police raided his home and seized his computer. Cllr Redrup is suspected of setting up cameras in his home to spy on his lodgers. Released on bail as inquiries continue…

Labour Councillor (Hornchurch/Essex), Alan Prescott, who was also a senior magistrate – Convicted and jailed for 2 years in 2001, for molesting children at the East London care home where he was the superintendent. Prescott, described in court as a “pillar of his local community” admitted carrying out sex attacks on four teenage boys as they slept in their beds.,3604,565800,00.html

Labour Mayor and Council Leader (Westhoughton/Lancashire), Nicholas Green – Convicted and jailed for 10 years in 1998, for 3 rapes and 13 counts of indecent assault against little girls between the age of 6 and 10. He raped one woman on her wedding day.

Labour Councillor (Northampton/Northamptonshire), and former School Governor, Alec Dyer-Atkins – Convicted and jailed for 2 years in 2003 for downloading more than 42,000 pictures and films described in court as “Horrifying images of child abuse”. Dyer-Atkins was a member of an international paedophile ring called `The Shadows Brotherhood` which was successfully penetrated following stirling work by Britain's National Hi-Tech Crime Unit (NHTCU). Commenting on the conviction of the depraved Labour Party beast, NHTCU Deputy Head, Mick Deats said: “This man had some of the worst images on his computers that officers from this unit have ever viewed”.

Labour Councillor (North Lincolnshire), David Spooner – Convicted and jailed for 1 year for masturbating in front of 2 young boys.

Tuffley was described as a `rising star` within the Labour Party - which is nothing to be proud of either!

Labour’s 2005 Parliamentary Candidate (Reading East/Berkshire), Tony Page – Has 2 Convictions for `Acts of gross indecency` in public toilets. Reading’s voters were unimpressed, and Page lost the Labour-held seat to the Tories.

Prominent Edinburgh Labour party activist and election candidate, Rab Knox - Convicted and jailed for 3 years in 2005 for a horrific sex attack on a woman passenger in his taxi cab. Knox had previously been dubbed Labours “Mr Anti-Sleaze” in Scottish political circles due to his unimpeachable integrity and general all-round saintlyness. Top bloke!

Entire Labour Party conspired to conceal the activities of Labour Party activist, social worker and serial child-molester Mark Trotter, who died from AIDS in 1995 before he could be convicted.

Labour Councillor (Newham/London), Greg Vincent, who was the Election Agent to Labour MP Tony Banks at the 2001 General Election – Convicted and given a 2-year community rehabilitation order in 2003, for possession of hardcore kiddie porn films and photos, featuring children as young as 8. One of the photos the Labour Councillor found so entertaining, featured – as described in court – a girl aged around 10, naked except for a dog-collar, being assaulted and abused while her hands were tied behind her back around a beam. Vincent was also a School Governor.

Labour Councillor (Halton/Leeds), Lee Benson – Convicted and awaiting sentence in 2005, after pleading guilty on 12 counts of possession of indecent images of children, featuring youngsters between the ages of 5 and 11. Benson, who has a child of his own, repaid the fools who voted for him by storing his revolting kiddie porn collection on the computer provided for him by the council. Benson has been `suspended` - not expelled - by the Labour Party, which means his name remains on the Labour Party membership list, as well as on the sex offenders register. As to which is the more shameful – take your pick!

Labour Mayor (Burnley/Lancashire), Peter Swainston – Convicted of committing `Acts of gross indecency` with another man in a public toilet in 1997. Forced to resign as Mayor, although he remained on the Council.

Labour MP (Caerphilly/Wales), and former Cabinet Minister, Ron Davies - Mugged by a Rasta on Clapham Common while cruising for gay sex. He was photographed again by the media recently, engaged in some `man-on-man` action in a field off a motorway. “I was only looking for badgers” he said.

Labour prospective Parliamentary candidate (Copeland/Cumbria), Christine Wheatley – Dropped as the 2005 General election candidate following revelations that she used to work as a Paris street hooker - although why the bought-and-paid for political prostitutes of New Labour felt she was anything but an ideal representative for them, remains unclear.

Labour Councillor (Wokingham/Berkshire), Nelson Bland – Convicted on 16 counts of possession and distribution of hardcore child porn in 2004. Sentenced to community service, placed on the sex offender’s register and ordered to attend rehabilitation classes for paedophiles. Bland used his own teenage daughters computer to hoard his grotesque gallery of child abuse, which was discovered by police during a search of Bland`s home, when they arrested him in connection with the murder of a Nottingham businessman.

Former Labour Councillor (North Yorkshire), Raymond Coates – Charged along with his son Philip Coats in 2003, with child rape, using threats to procure a woman for sex and, wait for it… inciting a woman to have sex with an animal. Coats junior was sentenced to 13 years in prison for his part in the Father & Son rape and bestiality double-act, although the trial of 76-year old Raymond Coats was abandoned after the court ruled he was too ill to stand trial. Agreeing to the indefinite postponement, Judge Paul Hoffman said: “With enormous reluctance, and I emphasise that, enormous reluctance because it is unsatisfactory that these very serious and nasty charges should remain unresolved, I am going to order a stay on this basis. If the evidence were to demonstrate a recovery, the stay can be revoked”.

Labour Councillor (Manchester/Cheshire), George Harding – Charged with indecent assault on a girl of 12.

Labour MP (Sheffield/Yorkshire), Joe Ashton – Caught up in a Police raid while frequenting a brothel in 1999. Tried to lie his way out of the scandal.

Labour MP (Sheffield/Yorkshire), Clive Betts – Suspended from Parliament for 7 days in 2004, after being caught forging immigration papers to extend the stay of his Brazilian rent-boy gay lover.

According to media reports, the names of 2 former Labour Cabinet Ministers said to be `Household names` appear on the `Operation Ore` list of subscribers to hard-core child pornography. The same FBI investigation, which led to the arrest of rock star Pete Townshend. So who are they Mr. Blair?

Labour Councillor (Coxhoe/Durham), Les Sheppard – Convicted in 2004 on ten counts of indecent assault on young girls. Jailed for 2 years, and placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years. Teeside Crown Court heard how 71 year old Cllr Sheppard lured his victims into his gold Porsche before driving them to remote spots, where he would submit them to sickening sex attacks. After his arrest, the Labour nonce-case told police “I love women, but you do things which you regret”. Sheppard’s `women` victims were between 9 and 13 years old.

Labour Councillor and former Mayor (Halton/Cheshire), Liam Temple - Convicted in 2004 of `Inciting a child under 16 to commit an act of gross indecency` after the 58-year old Labour pervert had attempted to molest a 12-year old girl. During the case, the brave youngster told the court via a video link: “He said if I let him touch me he would give me money”.

Labour Councillor (Durham), Derrick Payne – Arrested by Police following a sex attack.

Labour Councillor (Stoke/Staffordshire), Michael Barnes, put forward a motion in July 2004 to change the constitution of Stoke-on-Trent Council. The proposed amendments were designed to prevent the City’s two British National Party councillors from chairing any committees, so as to `protect` the good citizens of Stoke from the beastly BNP types they’d voted for in huge numbers to represent them. As Mr Barnes explained to the local paper, the move was “to prevent the BNP from exerting more influence”, and was “in the best interests of the people of Stoke-on-Trent”. A few months later, in November 2004, the civic-minded and virtuous Councillor Barnes appeared at North Staffordshire Magistrates Court, to face seven different charges relating to child pornography.

Labour Councillor and Deputy Council Leader (Northumberland), John Whiteman, who was also a senior member of the local police authority – Convicted and fined in 2002 for soliciting a prostitute in the red light district of Middlesbrough. The court heard Whitman was arrested in his car as Police discovered him in a “state of undress” with a lady of the night he had just paid £35 for sex. He subsequently resigned from the council.

Labour Councillor (Kirkby, Merseyside) Charlie Preston – Convicted and jailed for 5 years in 1982 for assault and burglary. Preston broke into the home of a 64 year old man, and beat him up in his bed as he slept before robbing the house. The judge described the case as “As bad a matter of burglary as I can remember”. Preston also held the position on the Council of, wait for it.... `Deputy Cabinet Member for Youth, Citizenship, and Community Safety`.

Labour Councillor (Renfrewshire/Scotland), Richard Manser – Locally notorious Labour thug with convictions for assault.

Labour Councillor (Rochdale/Manchester), Gholam Murtaza – Convicted and jailed for 6 months in 1998 for Assault and Affray, after attacking two women police officers with a knife. Murtaza also won his seat on the council illegally in 2003, as the seriousness of his criminal record disqualified him from standing in the first place, according to British electoral law. Typically, the Labour Party tried to lie their way out of the scandal by claiming he had concealed his past from them at the time of his selection as a candidate. However, the local Labour MP, Jim Dobbin, received a letter at the time from the Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police, David Wilmot, giving full details of Councillor Murtaza`s conviction, and the vicious, knife-wielding Labour thug himself said: “People in the party were aware of my conviction while I was in prison. I declared it at my interview, and on my application form”.

He was then detained by police under the Prevention of Terrorism Act. His crime? He had dared to utter a single word, “nonsense”, in response to the inane babbling of Mr Straw.

Labour MP (Renfrew West and Inverclyde/Scotland), Tommy Graham – Expelled from Party for his part in a smear campaign (involving allegations of AIDS and a homosexual affair with an underage boy), which drove a rival Labour MP – Gordon McMaster - to commit suicide.

The charges were later dropped.

ASLEF Union boss, and Labour activist, Martin Samways – Punched a woman union official in the face during a drunken brawl at a summer barbecue, according to evidence heard at an employment tribunal for fellow ASLEF bigwig Shaun Brady, who was sacked by the union for his part in the fight. Mr Brady told the 2005 hearing: “Julie Atkinson walked past, returning from the toilet. He (Samways) lashed out at her, saying “you c***”, and hit her in the face. I could see blood”. Samways resigned after the incident.

In 2006 newly released documents revealed that as a young MP, Stonehouse spent ten years as a paid spy for Warsaw Pact communist regimes during the height of the cold war. Had this come to light while he was in office it may well have brought down the Government of Harold Wilson, who was himself rumored to have been a KGB agent. Acts of high treason within the Labour Party are not just a phenomenon of the Blair era it would seem.

He then sent her a stream of obscene, sexually explicit and racist letters made from cutting out letters from newspapers. Not content with this, the bunny-boiling Tory nutcase went on to distribute self made cards in telephone boxes near to Mrs Guglielmi`s house containing her home contact details, offering the sale of illicit drugs and her services as a prostitute (needless to say, the perfectly respectable Mrs Guglielmi, a postmistress, has no involvement in either vice or narcotics of any kind). Witnesses described how Councillor Alam pulled up after the collision, went back to the scene, and then drove away, leaving young Christopher to die in the street. Alam then burnt the car out in another part of Bradford and reported it stolen to try to save his worthless neck. The ridiculously light sentence resulted from prosecutors insulting Christopher’s memory by refusing Judge James Stewart’s request to upgrade the `careless driving` charge to one of causing death by dangerous driving (which carries a sentence of up to 14 years). A decision the Judge branded as “nonsensical”. Judge Stewart went on: “This case is a matter of amazement. It justifies a charge of death by dangerous driving. Councillor Shaun Smith, 37, who represents Wheelton and Withnell ward, has been charged with a racially aggravated public order offence and common assault following a late night incident at Manchester Airport in June. His girlfriend, Amanda Jane Ahlgreen, 39, of Trigg Lane, Heapey, Chorley, has also been charged with a racially aggravated public order offence.

The pair were committed to Minshell Street Crown Court, Manchester, on January 25, when they appeared at Trafford Magistrates Court on Friday. Smith, of Briers Brow, Wheelton, was elected for the Conservative party to Chorley Borough Council in 2004.
